The 2013 tournament plan for the German national cricket team is slowly coming together and it promises to be a busy and interesting summer.
Botswana has once again been selected to host the ICC World Cricket League Division 7 tournament. This will take place in the second quarter of the year and will see Germany take on Botswana, Ghana, Nigeria, Vanuatu and Fiji. Two years ago, Germany just missed out on promotion to Division 6, finishing third in Division 7. The relationship between the ICC’s new One-Day League, the existing World Cricket League structure and the qualification process for the 2015 World Cup was clarified on Tuesday with the announcement that the ODL would be ‘rebranded’ as the Pepsi ICC World Cricket League Championship.
