Assistant Coaches Course in Egelsbach (near Frankfurt)
A bitterly cold March Sunday in Egelsbach may not sound promising, but in its way it was groundbreaking for German cricket.
After a short pilot in Munich, this was the first full-day coaches training carried out in Germany by the DCB. The aim of the course was to grow cricket in Germany by enabling and encouraging more people to coach juniors. Diesen Beitrag weiterlesen »
Youth tournament in Heidelberg
The first ever youth tournament took place yesterday in the DCB’s newest region of Baden-Würtemberg.
Youngsters, mainly from the Heidelberg and Karlsruhe areas, played an indoor tournament in Heidelberg. This is a fantastic development for cricket in the region and will surely lead to more development work taking place.
Many thanks must go to the initiators of the event, TSG Rohrbach, Kiran Kumar John Campbell and Waheed Ahmed.

NDCV Youth Indoor Championships: Wins for THCC Rot-Gelb Hamburg and SV Damshagen
The last weeks have seen an impressive amount of youth development in the north German region. This has been capped by two indoor tournaments held at Under 11 and Under 19 levels.
Winners of the Under 11 tournament were the newly formed team from SV Damshagen, near Lübeck who defeated THCC Rot-Gelb Hamburg in the final. This is, to the best of our knowledge, the first ever official Under 11 tournament to take place in German cricket and it will be followed up by an outdoor hard-ball league this summer in this age group.
Winners of the Under 19 tournament were THCC Rot-Gelb Hamburg who defeated Hamburg International CC in the final. 3rd place went to the German Indoor Youth Champions Göttingen Youth and we also saw teams from Bremen CC and Hamburger SV taking part for the first time.
The NDCV is crossing new boundaries in youth cricket in Germany and they have already organised leagues in three age groups (U11, U15, U19) that will allow kids of all ages and abilities to play regular hard-ball cricket this summer.
Diesen Beitrag weiterlesen »
G7 sponsors DCB men’s and women’s national teams in 2013
The DCB is pleased and proud to announce that G7, a Düsseldorf based fashion retailer, has generously agreed to sponsor the German men’s and women’s teams in all of their tournaments this summer.
This means that their company logo will appear on the men’s shirts at the ICC World Cricket League Division 7 in Botswana in April as well as the ICC Europe Division 1 Championships in Sussex, England in July. The women will wear the G7 logo at their European Championships too.
We would like to thank G7 for their generous support of German cricket.
